From as early as 10 or 11 AM on July 19, 2006, Melanie was IN the West Charleston neighborhood where her van was first seen in traffic and later seen parked on the street. Somebody has to have seen her by herself or with (an)other person(s) there. Somebody has to have seen something, either in relation to Melanie or her van. Please, now is not too late: if you even think you saw something, contact Sandra or Leisa or contact investigator Lane. And Sandra or Leisa, would you post a picture of Melanie's van, front, side and rear views? Who knows, somebody's memory might be stimulated even at this late date. We are all praying for a soon and miraculous outcome to this 2+ year old mystery.

cannot imagine the kind of callous rage, blind anger or insane jealousy that would cause someone to make a 23 year-old mother of three young children disappear without a trace! I cannot imagine what benefit or reward these people would think to gain from their hiding of the facts, their lies and distortions or the actual deed itself as it occurred. What can they possible gain? Melanie was not rich and what money she may have had was accounted for, give or take a few hundred dollars. What kind of influence could such a senseless crime bring to any criminal, small or big time, to any drug sub-culture, clan or family? If someone was trying to send a message via her disappearance, they failed miserably in connecting her disappearance as a gesture of retaliation, revenge or tit for tat. Believe me, know one really knows what crazy motive drove her abductors to do what they did. But, there is one tragic irony that we know for sure: Melanie was not a loner and did not spend much time alone. But from shortly before 8AM until she was taken by her abductors, she was alone on July 19, 2006. When she left her two youngest at the day care center, we know she drove alone to Midland Avenue to pick up her half sister. We know she turned around alone at the end of Midland and we know she did not pick up her half sister. Instead her vehicle continued back down Midland where it was spotted just as it turned towards US Route 60. Then just minutes later it was spotted passing in front of the Post Office heading back towards the day care center. Whatever happened to Melanie began at the turnaround on Midland Avenue. It is a fact that several people know what happened on Midland Avenue just before 8AM on July 19, 2006, and so, they also know why she disappeared. Now, almost two years later, there is nothing to gain by remaining silent, nothing to be gained by lies and distortions, and everything to lose by trying to hide the truth. Only the truth will set people free; it will even release the guilty from a burden which will cause them eternal loss. What will it profit the guilty to live another 40, 50 even 70 years with the knowledge that you have hid the truth from her loved ones? Do you think that God in heaven neither knows nor cares? What will you say to Him on your day of judgment? "Forgive me, because it was an accident and I/we didn't mean to hurt her?" And when the Lord asks you, "Then why did you not tell people where she was hidden?" exactly what will you say? And if Melanie is standing next to you with tears in her eyes for the years she lost with her children, and tears in her eyes for YOUR LOST SOULS, what will you say when she is rewarded with eternal life, because she was taken by surprise, therefore in INNOCENCE, while you receive eternal death, because you thought the truth could be spat upon forever? The next step is yours. Tell the truth and live free or try to continue to hide the truth and die forever in ashes on the day God will appoint. And don't be surprised if He does NOT wait for the day of judgment to reveal her whereabouts. That is His work. If you are in the possession of names and facts, you must talk soon, while there is still time for you (and Melanie, and her children, and her family, and her friends) to be freed in our time and before it's God's turn.
